Hello, and welcome to my corner of the internet!

I am Tia (you’ll often see me calling myself T), a Clinical Associate Psychologist passionate about helping others navigate their mental health journeys. 

Throughout my life, I have struggled with my mental health to varying degrees. I have always felt ‘different’ compared to other people, and as I grew older, I realised I struggle with Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), as well as Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (cPTSD). I started my ‘self-help’ and development journey when I was just 16-years-old. I remember reading my first self-help book and thinking ‘I am not the only one!’ and it was such a huge relief. Since then, I have worked really hard and studied Psychology for a total of 8 years, to get to the point where I am at now. I spend my weekdays working within a busy NHS mental health setting, offering one-to-one therapy work to those who need it. 

I am really passionate about sharing knowledge, information, tools and tips to EVERYONE. I think we should all be able to understand and help ourselves, and overcome the mental health challenges which we face. I want my brand to be exactly that – a place where people can come to feel validated, understood, and heard, and learn practical skills which actually make a difference. My mission is to provide practical tools and insights for those struggling with anxiety, low confidence, PTSD, and other mental health challenges, empowering them to lead fulfilling lives.

Here, you will find articles on all of the above, as well as specific tools you can implement into your daily life to help overcome the challenges you’re facing which actually do work.  I will be sharing practical exercises, personal stories, psychoeducation and psychological insights/understanding of different presenting difficulties. The tips/tools I share will be things I’ve personally used on my self-development journey, as well as things I have learnt through my studies, and my time working within the NHS. I hope to create a supportive space, accessible to all, where we can all grow and learn together.

I am still very much on my self-improvement journey. I have come a long way, however I know I still have a really long way to go. I would love for you to join me on this journey, and to be a part of this community.
